I purchased Steam City Rise of the Rose a few days back
the store page mentions skills trees and mechs which are not in the game

It's bare bones with mention of maybe four reviewers who YouTubed the same first fifteen minutes.

Another hit n run that was released out of EA long before it was finished and no one gives a crap about it;
not even the developers.

The above complaint can be addressed to a good forty percent of games being sold right now

I'd like to see a decent game journalist site creating a reference guide since Steam and other stores refuse to pull these titles.

An easier method is to stop paying developers before they actually finish a product, would make everyone’s life easier.

In the instance of Steam City it's not EA

I don't normally purchase EA unless I'm getting a massive discount for the key....like 5 USD or less for a AAA EA

so never then? AAA games do not really do EA that often, and almost all decent EA games never goes under $5. If you are buying EA games for $5, then you are buying really bad games

consider good EA games, such as Factorio, Oxygen not included, Satisfactory and so on, never had deeper discount then 10% during the EA phase.... so yes, you are not doing it quite right.

Missing features != vaporware. Vaporware is when a game is announced then never released. Released in an incomplete state is still something rather than nothing. Better to come up with a different term, like "EA-itis" perhaps, as in "This game is suffering from a severe case of EA-itis," although that risks confusion with EA the game company. Or maybe that doesn't matter. ;)

Well, if you know all this...then why did you buy this?

I was under the impression the developers still cared.

I have quite a few games, I've liked, for which I'm the only one who bought a copy

But that's why it would be good to have a running list that we can compare finds against.
