So, I was wondering if (apart from musical games obviously), there have ever been games featuring 80-90's house music. I'm talking about old-school stuff like this:

Suggestions?
tekken
tekken 2
tekken 3
ridge racer
ridge racer revolution
ridge racer type 4
rage racer

Oh yeah you're right, the Ridge Racer series has a wide variety of electronic music, didn't notice the music in the Tekken. I found some tracks from Streets Of Rage 1&2 are house-inspired (SOR3 soundtrack is another matter as it's so out of this world ^o^)

I'm not at all an expert when it comes to electronic music but I guess that some of these might qualify:
Parts of the Incoming soundtrack
Parts of the Wipeout soundtrack
KKND 2 - Survivors Track 3

And as snowkatt's post already suggests, many fighting, racing and arcade action games from back in the day have all kinds of electronic music. Many of them are bound to include the kind of music you're looking for.
Is that another name for techno?
I'm sure it's not exactly what you want, but Hotline Miami has something that is similar.
(GOG doesn't allow me to post links, but search for Hotlime Miami OST in youtube)

Only thing I know (or believe to know) is that there's a difference in the rhythm (House usually having a snare on every second beat) and House is normally slower than Techno. But honestly, I often can't tell the genres apart when I listen to specific songs. Especially some alleged House songs sound like Techno to me.
What's house music? Music I play in my house? I think all games I play at home have this feature.

The problem is that House has gained a lot of adjectives during the years to describe many different genres (just like Trance).

So, when I say old-skool House, that means, inspired by the groove of disco and funkwith the technical limitations of the era:

Yes I know but it's specifically for House I'm looking for as I think the genre was mostly unused in videogames.

Are you my roommate from my freshman year in college? That guy had that stuff blasting 24/7. :D
I was about to mention Wipeout, so here's instead, and [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Y6OkevauAQ]Motorhead.

Any game involving Panty and Stocking, and well, Hotline Miami
Wipeout and especially Rollcage had really cool soundtracks, I wouldn't call all of the tracks house though.

Technically, techno is a subgenre of House - as are the majority of electronic music genres that have spawned since House music began.
Theres a really good BBC series on the evolution of the genres from House. I'll see if I can dig up the name of it and find a link.
