The game was like GTA Vice City, but with actual Tony Montana and voice actors from the movie.
It was released on PC DVD as a semi-movie sequel and never re-released again.
Try the wish list, that's really our only voice on here for games.
I would doubt it though.
Licenses about games inspired by movies... always an endless mess !
Wasn't that game infamously terrible? Or am I just projecting because the very idea of a sequel to Scarface seems idiotic? And I didn't even like the movie all that much, I always thought Carlito's Way was much better.
Probably not. Games based on movies often have licensing issues that are hard to resolve.

That game was so good but it is hard as hell to get it to run on anything but Windows XP. I have no hope but I would buy day 1 if GOG somehow found a way to get it on here.

Infamously awesome, more like. And the makers of the game themselves seem to be perfectly aware of the fact that a sequel to Scarface would be idiotic, and they absolutely RELISH in that. That's what makes this particular game so great: They just embrace the utter absurdity of it all and created one of the most wildly entertaining things I've ever played.

Would buy this here in an instant, but there seem to be a number of legal and technical hurdles to overcome. Which is a shame, since this deserves to be played by a wider audience.
That actually sounds pretty cool. So the game starts with the end fight of the movie, and you can kinda change the ending of the movie yourself (escape the thugs alive)?

Do you get to kill that shotgun guy with sunglasses, or will he be following you for the rest of the game? What about Michelle Pfeiffer, is she still interested? How will your mother react when she learns you shot her daughter's new husband and caused her violent death in your mansion?

I presume all those will be answered in the game. Now I really want to play it.

Any idea of the PS2 version, is it just as good? Does the game have lots of shooting which would benefit from mouseaim (in the PC version)?

The shotgun guy is pretty much the first person you have to kill. If you don't, there's a special cutscene where he sneaks up on you and kills you just like in the movie.

Nothing quite like starting a new game, laying waste to all the enemies in front of you, forgetting to turn around, and getting a super-quick game over in the tutorial. :)

I played through the PS2 version, after the PC version wouldn't run on my laptop. I'm almost sure the PC version and PS2 versions are identical.

I was just playing it on Windows 10. Seemed to play decent after using regedit to set the resolution to 1920x1080

sadly really unlikely bc of the licenses. Maybe it becomes possible if some game company gives another scarface game a try and somehow manages to relicense/rerelease the old game as well.
If I recall right they had to jump through several hoops in order to get Al Pacino's likeness to the game and even after that he didn't voice act himself. I'm guessing the biggest obstacle for re-releasing this one is on the agreement they made with Pacino and that he'd probably want way more money off it than what a potential re-release would ever make.

Ok maybe we have to wait for Mr Pacino to pass away before we can play this game..

Shouldn't be long now, I think he is already 120 years old or thereabouts.
