A victory for the gentlemen bastards!

Antihero, a turn-based strategy game where you run your own guild of thieves, is now available for pre-order, DRM-Free on GOG.com with a 20% discount and the Book Club DLC as pre-order bonuses.

This tabletop city is your oyster - and it's gone bad. Time to slurp up its riches by setting up your own thieves' guild and employing street urchins and agents of low moral fiber. Bribe, blackmail, or assassinate the competition to maintain a lucrative business and become the city's top master thief.

If you want the game and soundtrack in one neat package, go ahead and grab the Deluxe Edition.
The pre-order bonuses last until the game's release, on Monday, July 10.

No thanks, doesn't look like my cup of joe.
The link for the store page is not working.
Also, the video in the article is about a different game. What?

Just another instance of our shameless cross-product placement scheme. Patent pending.

Foiled again!
Will be ever the end of the endless stream of faceless cloned games with this kind of now-fashionable graphics, cartoonish-childish-oligophrenic?

You put an obscure synonym for retarded in a grammatically wrong sentence.
Looks promising, looking forward to it.
So...what makes this anti-hero so special? I mean why should I play this over say, Wario Land?
What the expected target audience is?
Thanks for that - at first I thought it was one of those boring clicker games but it looks interesting, more like a small-scale management game. We'll see when the reviews start to come in, I guess!

distilled:
- you can send children out to beat up other children (oh gawd the children! or how george carlin says "fuck the children")
- digital board game
- story mode and 1v1
- unexpected things happen

also i hate the graphics, but nobody forces me to play it.

many developers/ publisher make a very very good lving out of 'casual games ' .......
its funny that it needs 1280x720 , i have 1280x 960 and 1280 x 1024 @ 75 hz, my default 1024x768 (CRT monitor)
is at 85 hz.
I have loads of 'casual' games aswell cause the big games industries disapointed me the last decade....
so thats why i started to buy casual games, people can laugh but i think these are decent games that can give lots pf gaming fun.

Anyway, a game doesnt have to be adrenaline pumping, 16 or 18+ with gore and violence in order to be a fun game.
Sad thing is lack of demos: which is probably because they dont want to take a risk their game wont sell, and once the game is bought ..... :D there's usually no point of return ....

I still believe that every decent developer should give a demo game cause this way bugs can be deteced by ALL gamers , not only by the buyers.

Why does it need a i7? its a big casual game nothing more nothing less, its not trip A game, so i dont get the recommended unless its written in a bad unity engine ( excessive CPU usage because unity is bad)

Well i am gonna take a risk: i will preorder it and let's hope i wont have to refund it ( i assume the refund period starts when i bought and downloaded the game, and NOT the minute i order it :D

i_ni: What the expected target audience is?
Anyone who like games like this perhaps or
Anyone who does not like games like mario or wario or other motion heavy games...

A variety of gamers and a variety of games make sure that there will be games for everyone and anyone, it's good that not all people love the same shoes, cars, houses, women and men, cause it would be total war then , people fighting another just to get the same car, shoes, clothes or men / women they prefer :D

It does not have to sell by the gazillions: lets say a triple A game is 50 euros or usd and sells 1.000.000 thats a huge amount : 50 million....

BUT for all we know the 5 dollar game sells a billion :D..... thats 5 billion usd or euros :D
even at 2.50 it makes more money and since the game ic casual the 'commercial' efforts can be extremely low :D
