I have purchased Descent 1 and downloaded it. There is a link to download "HD Wallpaper". Can you explain what this means? I don't want to download it and find that it changes my desktop.

Can it increase the visuals of the game, which are so very fuzzy?

Can anything clear those up? I realize that it is an old game, graphics were not very good back then, but maybe something has been done to make them clearer.... Turn everything into a High Definition graphics?

It allows you to download an HD image to allow you to do what you want with it. It has no tie with the game apart from what the image shows. In other words, it's just a picture.

PCGW advises to play the game through a source port rather than directly. This may help improve the visual quality of the game.
