I have a while back and he hadn't made a list. I don't remember under which video I asked.

Try more directly. Youtube comments tend to be a bit of a pain for any creator to deal with.
Does Carrier command count?

Can't you do it? I'm too intimidated by his big hair.

It's not THAT much hair! ...yet... ;)

And yeah, I typically don't visit these forums as I'm already stretched pretty thin in terms of keeping social contacts going, but to answer the question: I don't really have a top list of favourite games, not ordered anyways. I have a variety of favourites though I tend to sort them by system instead of having them compete. (IE: I don't compare my favourites for DOS with my favourites for the SNES.)

That said, my all-time most favourite game across all systems is Bubble Bobble. ;)

As for DOS, as I assume that's what you're most curious about, some of my favourites in no particular order include Stunts, System Shock, One Must Fall 2097, Tyrian, Dangerous Dave, Magic Carpet I and II, MechWarrior II, Descent II, Cyberdogs, MegaRace, and Duke Nukem 3D.
I wish I had 10pence for every 10pence I pumped into Bubble Bobble. (standing arcade cabinet)

Hey, good to see you around these parts!

Right, the DOS games (I'm the guy who sent a mail about this to you on the same day if you're wondering). Thanks for the list. I actually started quickly browsing the vids and I'm at episode 61 now, some of the games you mentioned I had a good idea about but others like Tyrian I had the impression your were more mixed on. I'll post the list later and you can correct it if you want.

Bubble Bobble is a great game, there's a lot more to it than you might think at first whle it's also easy to get into.

Rough ranking of the games from the first 100 episodes for those who are interested:
System Shock - "masterpiece"
Stunts
One Must Fall 2097
MechWarrior 2 - "one of the most epic DOS games ever"
Descent
Doom
Duke Nukem 3D - "one of the most pivotal games of the 90s", one of his faves (gog forum comment)
Dangerous Dave - one of his faves (gog forum comment)
Cyberdogs - one of his faves (gog forum comment)
Magic Carpet - mixed in the vid ("desperately needs a modern sequel or remake", "many bugs" - most are fixed in the plus ver. but there are still some serious ones), but still one of his faves (gog forum comment)
Tyrian 2000 - mixed in the vid, but still one of his faves (gog forum comment)
MegaRace - one of his faves (gog forum comment)
Star Wars: TIE Fighter - far more fun, engaging and immersive than x-wing
Mystic Towers
Amulets & Armor - "awesome, plays better than it looks"
Ken's Labyrinth - source port
Bubble Ghost
Command & Conquer
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Round 42 ep.)
Duke Nukem/Duke Nukum
Duke Nukem II - better progression but harder to react to danger
EarthSiege
LineWars II
SimCity
Treasure Mountain - "one of the best edutainment titles ever"
Wolfenstein 3D - "long and repetitive but good and important, you have to play it at least once"
X-COM/UFO: Enemy Unknown - "a very challenging strategy game (a genre he sucks at), still extremely well designed overall"
Seek and Destroy - mindless and fun, perfect length
Tank Wars
Highway Hunter - very hard but highly underrated, mouse control recommended
Serve & Volley
Excelsior Phase I: Lysandia - only drawback is that it's a bit too easy
King's Quest (1984) - "one of the best of its kind", likes the non-linearity including multiple solutions to problems
Megazeux (game creation tool)
Crime Fighter - mp-focused and board game-like (you actually play as the criminals), easy to pick up and play
Cybersphere
Leisure Suit Larry - "not porn, pretty short, if you like adult themed humour you'll enjoy this game", remake simplifies most things but makes some things less intuitive (prefers original's gameplay besides blackjack)
Teen Agent - "kind of neat"
Round 42
SkyRoads - "it's about the memorization /.../ but it's not really that hard. worth a try at least once"
Populous - intimidating but good (repetitive though), sequel is better and more accessible
The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall - "ambitious and massive but buggy (and hard to set up), almost no excuse to try it at least once"
Thexder 1-2 - hard
LineWars
Sango Fighter
Bubble Bobble - "my all-time favorite game, but not a good port due to the changes to the items"
Catacomb 3D series - dated but fairly playable, not too challenging, good length
Commander Keen 1-3 - simple but holds up even if hard, some controls take some getting used to
Catacomb - simple but worth a go at least once, the progenitor to doom (in 2D top down view), lets you strafe
Reaping the Dungeon/Dungeon Rogue - starts hard but ends easy, never gets boring though
Animal Quest - just ignore the young lion module
Caves of Thor - simple but a fun play at least once, similar to gauntlet but easier
OverKill "not bad, short and basic 2D shooter"
Stellar 7 - found it too short
King's Quest II - mixed but still a fun game
Galactix - "a quirky little thing", a claw is used to grab items instead of moving into them
Space Quest (1986) - not bad, but very linear
Supaplex - found it too hard
Visual Star Trek/V-Trek - "actually pretty easy to get into, pretty engrossing game"; note that the game is incomplete
Flightmare - hard
Googol Math Games - 3 in 1 edutainment, googolpede is good, googolvaders is ok, climber kinda sucks
Scorched Earth - "way too many features"
Space Adventure - "fairly fun despite its age"
TechnoVenture - nothing special but enjoyable for its simplicity
Star Wars: X-Wing - found it frustrating and time consuming, too many escort missions
Abuse - mixed
Word Rescue - mixed, repetitive
Ugh! - mixed; simple with some interesting points but feels unfinished, bad 2-player mode
Covert Action - mixed
Moraff's World - mixed, unique but unpolished
Normality - mixed
Electranoid - mixed
CD-Man (pac-man clone) - "I suck at pac-man and this is harder"
FX Fighter - mixed
Star Quest I - interesting but not very good, some serious bugs including for the joystick controls (and the kb controls suck, mouse control is ok)
Grand Prix Circuit - "gets the job done"
3-D Body Adventure - activity center/edutainment, nothing special
Traffic Department 2192 - "first episode is good, second ok and the third a mess"
Bio Menace - "first episode is fun, second and third are not"
Telengard - very hard; "take a look if you like dungeon crawlers"
The Elder Scrolls I: Arena - "hardcore arpg fans only"
Raptor: Call of the Shadows - Found it too hard even on the lowest settings; "but obviously I'm in the minority"
Caverns of Xaskazien - get the windows version, frustrating beyond belief
Volfied - "bad port of a great game; shield energy depletes too fast, faster and more unpredictable enemies that also behave more similarly and can detect when you're unshielded at which point they race towards you, bad hit detection"

Ep. 50 (Shareware Games CD):
Dungeon Quest 1.14 - "could be interesting"
Gateway to Another World - "I might check it out"
Diamond Balls 3 - "could be fun! but also time consuming"
