Starting today I found myself logged out from Galaxy, and on loging first got the message that I had to verify using a code sent to my email, since I used a new device (????? this being my one and only device and always used when using Galaxy), after which I get repeatedly the errors "An error occured during signin" and "An error occured while loading page" in Galaxy.

Anybody else experiencing these problems, and if so, any solution to this?

Had the same problem although it seems to be ok now.
Happened to me yesterday on the website. Seemed like I was logged off and trying to log in threw me an error. The reason was because I was still logged in. So trying to log in while already logged in failed. Some strange bug must have happened. Refreshing the browser cache with CTRL + F5 fixed it for me.

As for Galaxy, I don't know. Try killing the process and starting it again.
