Hi, guys.

This would be my first post here but had to
gog [dot] com/forum/general/the_community_giveaway_nongog_edition_remastered/post373

...so here we go:

Being a collector, I'm finding trouble in keeping a good GOG/other services checklist both as a personal guidance as well as a service for other users, as (GOG said) their always-changing catalog makes the task pretty hard to maintain on their end, in form of an always up-to-date list.

They may not have realized how powerful such tool could be in terms of 'sales gamification' (if there is such a thing).

I already made a pretty good one 2 or 3 months back, now outdated (of course), which may or may not be useful for anyone out there, and for that matter I ask your inputs on the validity of posting it here or elsewhere, and a collaborative platform other contributors may have interest in keeping it alive.

So... what are your thoughts, gents?

Not sure what you mean by "GOG/other services checklist". Do you mean a list of the pros and cons of various game sellers? Or do you mean a service that can keep a master wishlist of games you want on any site? (There are already several websites that do this, by the way.) Or something else?
I have read this seven times now and I still have no idea what this is about.

I think I figured it out.
Aaah,...now it all makes sense. ;)
I assume this is a wish to have some source like GOGwiki used to be, where you can check GOG's games without using GOG's website?

That's a good idea, and I really would like to see GOGwiki being updated again, as I really liked that site to browse games which are in the catalog, as well as games which have been removed from the catalog.

What? You take Tannhäuser's theorem as established fact just to get around the time flux paradox. That's a logical fallacy if I ever saw one!

In other words, it's Fake News?
I have no idea what you want either, but it might be this;

If not you may have to elaborate / be a little clearer...

I'm pretty sure part of the reason for this post -- and the entire reason he linked to his other post in that Community Giveaway thread -- is that he is trying to qualify for that giveaway's requirement that the user must be somewhat active in the forums.
I just don't know what the rest of the post is about. :P

I would go with this:

https://www.gog.com/games?page=1&sort=date

Makes it easy to see what you're missing, if the problem is that you might only check in periodically and end up missing the release News posts / threads.

The aforementioned gogdb is a nice resource, too.
