So this might seem like a fairly silly question, but I've been looking at the Steam Controller with its magical haptic feedback pads and magical profile system, and got to wondering that to be blunt, its hard to make profiles for a game in a client you don't have.

Then I thought, 'Maybe that feature could be ported to Galaxy?'

The idea could be expanded to setting bindings beforehand, I suppose.

Am I absurd, mad even for wanting steam controller support in GOG?

The Steam controller is said to be able to "emulate" a keyboard and mouse (unless something's changed since I last read about it), and in that mode, there are very few games that wouldn't work pretty much out of the box.

There's also Legacy mode/Xinput mode, but the real special thing is the profiles that can mix and match functions.

The idea is that the traditional controls are as training wheels.
