Apologies if this is already posted, I can't find anything on it.

It seems NVidia have settled a class action case for mis-selling the GTX970 in the US. If you bought one then you will soon be able to fill in a form and claim your money back for the difference in value between what was advertised and what they actually shipped to you.

I'd be interested to know if any of you are claiming, mostly to know how easy they make the procedure.
I believe it still have to be approved by the court. Hopefully they'll throw it out for the nonsense it is.

And if not, at least it comes at a good time for nVidia financially.

Good to hear they're being held accountable for false advertising and ripping people off. I know a few people that will be happy to hear of this for sure.

Financially they are being held accountable, however one of the interesting points of the settlement is that they can still claim they haven't done anything wrong. They are literally paying to make this go away without them admitting any fault.

Yeah that's common for legal battles, copyright infringement suits, etc. Both parties agree to such terms to avoid lengthy protracted legal battle and the costs associated with it, and generally the resuls are under an NDA gag order as well.
