the system indicates that I got it, for it shows "Buy as a gift", not to say "Owned" in the search bar.

In that case, it wouldn't "appear in the library" now, because it's already there - but on a lower shelf.

Now, the system should've informed me that I had the game in my library in order to avoid wasting the code. Knowing that I could have donated the key is irritating to say the least. From now on, I'm going to check my library before redeeming any Amazon Prime game.
