It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Breja: Seems entirely pointless - just hide them. It's not like they're taking up valuable space on your shelf or something. Still, if you want to do something entirely pointless with your games, I guess you should have the option.

Maybe GOG should also add an option for random games from our collection to get lost from time to time? To simulate having a "real" collection better. And then you'd be like "what happened to it, I'm sure I had it" and a week or a month later you find it under some other tab, like in Chat or under Language & Currency.
Even better, have them randomly lend some games from your library to strangers on the forum and when you notice it's gone you have to start asking everyone if they happen to have your game. And when they return it, there's a 17% chance that the game entry is back in your library but there's nothing in it because they accidentally "forgot to put it back in the box".

And sometimes your game won't start because the CD is scratched or you're missing disk #11.

RadonGOG: Really strange to do something like that. It can have negative side effects, just think about Pinatas and Bundle-Sales. Therefore, permantently deleting games is never something to recommend to any user.
Good point.
Even if you later contacted support and asked the game to return, I don't think it would happen.
Imagine if they had to return a game every time someone regreted his/her decision.
If you do it for a person, you have to do it for the rest of the user base, otherwise it will be seen as unfair treatment.
Better think thrice if you really want a game removed in your collection.

WhiteAshen: I have 2 games sitting hidden in my library that I want removed permanently. Support told me there was no clean way to remove games from my account. My point is: Come on GOG. If Steam allows this service, so can you guys! :)
So what exactly will be the benefit of you removing stuff from your library?

closure?
Can't speak for the OP, but I had games removed because it turned out I did not like them or downright hated them and if I still have them it feels like I need to finish them. Might be strange, but that's how it is. And since I don't buy Pinatas, I don't care about that.

Welcome, now you need to buy everyone a game, that's the special ultra secret unwritten rule that you are not permitted to ask about until you've completed it. If you do not buy everyone a game by the end of times then you'll be banned.

About the O.P. and those who wonder why he was not satisfied with hiding the game, the human brain is a wonder that sometime work in a really odd way. There are a lot of psychological and psychiatric conditions peoples can get help for, but I postulate that there are even many more that have no name or diagnostic but do not have an effect detrimental enough for anyone to bother researching them or consulting a doctor for them.

I'm not saying the O.P. has any of those but this is how I explain people's weird but harmless behavior to myself. If it is a psychiatric issue then asking them to get over it is like asking me to stop having Asperger.

Nice try but I don't think he's going to fall for that like I did.
