My entire collection disappeared, just like that. It now shows 0 games, but 17 updated and 20 hidden (see image). What in the actual f*** GOG?! Somebody help!

EDIT: It's back now. Just like that. Sorry for raising the alarm, I guess. That was weird.

Wow. I've heard this issue affected some folks with Galaxy, but that screenshot is the traditional web based games page. Man, I got nervous and just checked mine and they're all still there. Sure hope this gets addressed quickly, good luck man.

OT: LOL, I see the purple dot on your screenshot too. I found a link with a tip on how to get rid of it, and I did it, and it worked, but it was right back the next day and it just never goes away unless you take the steps in that link. Which of course makes it worthless. A button always on or always off isn't a button at all and notifies nothing.

Cadaver747's link shows some others are experiencing the same but mine seem to be unaffected so I don't think it's affecting everyone. Try refreshing your account:-

Edit: Glad you got it sorted. Probably a server glitch though it is quite amusing that purple dot survived... ;-)

All I did was installing a Doom (1993) through Galaxy to check if it works, and that same moment I get myself a full library back. Not sure if those are related but who knows.

Thanks, but all returned on it's own. I'm glad I took that screenshot, or I'd think I'm losing my mind :D

Yeah, I'm so used to the dot, I couldn't be arsed to even look into that tip on removing it. It's easier to just leave it there. At least it's a bit of color on GOG's sad, grey website.

At this point I'm convinced it will survive everything. If GOG ever goes down, the dot will remain. If the Earth blows up, our dots will go on. They are the legacy of the human race.

Yeah, that's how I feel about the Updates "notifications" (screenshot).

I would bet good money that of the over 500 listed as updates less than 20, most likely less than 10, are actual updates to games. The others are all updates to the installer, new languages added, etc. etc. And with over 1600 games it happens a lot. I used to go to the trouble of clicking on the game to get rid of it, but it's just not worth it as it would amount to a part time job. So, yet another "notification" system that notifies nothing.

EDIT: Seeing that Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered at the top of my list is new, got me to thinking that fixing that that glitch they had with previous owners getting the remastered version free might have contributed to this issue of games temporarily disappearing.

I always clean my Update section. Yes, it's an annoying routine but who else would do it for us, definitely not GOG.
Wouldn't you somehow have been relieved if it really had been gone? Now it's back and you again feel the pressure to play all those games.

In my case they *fixed* it several days ago for the 0.00 price. Nothing else changed, GOG store can't recognize the game as "Owned" anyway. Unless you haven't bought anything recently being at the top is only right.

So far I can't feel that gaming pressure because of all that blood pressure GOG gave me ;)

Times like this make me want to be a fly on the wall inside GOG.

"Pushed that update, boss!"

"Oh, actually I stopped it and added a few lines."

"Boss, you don't even have CS credentials. What did you do, and did you run it past the team?"
In other news, the sales of 10TB USB hard drives shot through the roof overnight.

Also, Netflix has problems streaming shows to their customers as the global networks seem totally congested at the moment. Especially Fastly CDN servers seem to be under exceptionally heavy load at the moment, as if lots of people are trying to download their GOG game installers at the same time, or something...

You jest, but I actually think this one glitch did a better job of promoting the offline Installers, than all of GOG's efforts do of promoting Galaxy.

In other news, that backlog you thought you'd never have time to clear has now vanished :D. In all seriousness, glad it was only a glitch, otherwise it would have been a real pain.

Reminds me of this. :-)

Remember the GOG shutdown? I think that was before your time here but the offline installers didn't need any more advertising after that.
