Alan Young, actor, comedian and television personality, passed on May 19th due to natural causes in Woodland Hills, California at the age of 96.

Being most famous for his iconic role of Wilbur Post on the "Mr. Ed" show, Young also starred in the 1960 classic, H.G. Wells' "The Time Machine".

Young has also voiced characters in the video games "The Curse of Money Island" (as Haggis McMutton) and DuckTales Remastered 1 & 2 (as Scrooge McDuck), as well as the same character in the DuckTales animated series.
RIP. I loved DuckTales growing up as a kid, ans Scrooge McDuck really made that show for me.
He was Scrooge? Damn, rip dude. He owned Scrooge's voice.
Ducktales is perhaps my all time favorite cartoon. Well either that or Gummi Bears / Tale Spin / Goof Troop. Regardless, it has the and [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYZ2vRiWYmY]outro
I didn't know he was still alive.

What is really impressive is he kept working pretty much his entire life. Made one hell of a contribution to the entertainment industry and I salute him.
Haggis died. He's making French braids to angels now.

RIP Mr. Young.
I've been resisting all days, but I just have to say:

Not you Young now, are you?
I saw this last night. Alan was really an inspiration. What an entertainer! I certainly hope I make it to 96 with that much gusto.

I love that he and June Foray both came back for Ducktales remastered.

Thanks for posting about this JDelekto. I's sad, but thinking about his performances makes me happy again.

R.I.P. Mr. Young.
