Welcome back to Bright Falls.

After a prolonged leave of absence in order to pursue his music rights, spooked book writer Alan Wake is now back on sale in all his original glory!

To celebrate, turn your flashlights skywards and then grab Alan Wake 80% off until November 1st, 4pm UTC.

Additionally, American Nightmare, the game's acclaimed spinoff, just got a permanent price drop and is also 80% off on top of that, so the time to complete the series is now.

Was there any way to get rid of the slowdown effect in the game when you shot people with flares?

Lone_Scout: I can't see the game. Only American Nightmare.

M3troid: same here. guess the page isn't on yet.
It looks like Alan Wake is not.
On my library, Alan Wake now got a dropdown menu pointing to the store card.

GOG_Solostran: Hey Everyone. Apologies for delay - page is up and running, and yes - Alane Wake is back :) Enjoy!
Should we clear our cache? Flush the DNS? Delete the cookies?

Try turning the page off and on again, see if it works.

It might be an IRQ conflict, I dunno.

So does this mean the problematic music has been ripped out and the new version has replaced the old one for everyone?

EDIT: GOG says no in post #25. Music is the same. Amazing and rare.

Officially no, though there might be hack or mod somewhere.
No page yet. :|

Was just about to ask this. I already had the game but i didn't see any update notification in my library. Does that mean the original music wasn't touched?
I've already got Alan Wake in my library, but it's nice to see it again on GOG. :-)
One of my favorite games ever and the only one I finished on normal and nightmare mode to 100%. Great to see it back. Will the soundtrack be back as well? I guess not?

We're looking into it, there's some issues with cache, page will be accessible in couple of minutes.

As for music - Remedy managed to sort out licensing issues and it's same good Alan Wake as before removal.

Called it.
Very good! I was worried this game would end up forgotten due to licensing issues.

I'm happy to see nothing has changed and Alan Wake is back exactly as it was.

(Now, if only we could get more Remedy games here... wink wink)

I'm suprised Remedy took the time to do that as every other company just lets them expire and either never sells the game again or removes them. Kudos to Remedy.
This is good news. Alan Wake is a great modern masterpiece, imo. I love Remedy anyway, but this game solidified them in the gamer gods pantheon for me.
Alan Wake can be seen as a search result in store, but the page is not accessible.
