Elmofongo: Moore did like the adaption of "For The Man Who Has Everything" in Justice League Unlimited.
V was the saving grace of that movie.
hugo weavings portrayal of V you mean
with a mask that covers his face so he has to portray himw ith is voice pose and body language

and V never ever takes the mask off on camera ( thankfully )

We all know he is horribly scarred considering his entire body from head to toe suffered 3rd Degree Burns. So what he used to look like is long gone.

And it represents him shedding off his humanity to essentially become Anarchy personifyed.

...thats not the point i was making

the point i was talking about was that on most of these adaptations the mask comes off to show off the gob off this name actor playing the main character

starting with judge dredd and spidermans mask goes walkies so often he might as well not wear the damn thing at all

Crisis on Infinite Earths - 1985
Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow? - 1986
Kingdom Come
Superman: Red Son
For the Man Who Has Everything

I have read Red Son, Kingdom Come, Death of Superman, Alan Moore's stuff, and funny about the american way (not spelling that whole title) and For Tomorrow.

But despite Supes being the prominant character I never say Kingdom Come as a "Superman" story.

Nor Crisis on Infinite Earths.

So which do you recommend to me personally.
and this is the issue http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Superman_Vol_2_22 where superdude kills
about 20 years before the dude of steel and the bullshit storm that the dude of steel doesnt kill

he can and he does he just doesnt do it or take it lightly
Well, they take therir time to do it. I hope it´s good enough and respect the comic.
