Hello all,

I have a Thrustmast 16000 HOTAS kit, so far so good as far as the peripheral themselves. However I am running into a mounting problem.

I have see pics of setups using swing arm monitor mounts and attaching the arms to the comp chair, but I dont have spoace for that.

Inm tyhe 90's my stepdad who was a pilot, had whatever the top end HOTAS at the time was and found a bracked for it with a heavy duty sprung clamp and basically pinched the edge opf his dek, which may also work.

The under side of my desk has a vertical support, stuicks down off the bottom of the desktop maybe 3 inches, I could mount something there so I could have them above my lap, and preferably either be able to fold it under my desk, or detach it easily as I play other stuff and dont always have time for gasming when on my PC.

Any advice?

Too much?
Any pics of your current desk setup or just your desk?

Without seeing a pic of your desk, it's hard to recommend anything, but have you considered, mounting your Joystick and throttle on a board, which you then attach to your desk with screwing clamps?

By loosing the clamps, you can remove the whole board, and stow it away. (see attachment)

A more sophisticated method would be using several wing screws.

However - I think, the quickest way to set up and remove again, is the board with clamps.

Just pay the $80k and buy a real one:

I vote for the board and clamps as well. If you have an office chair, maybe something so it fits over the arms and doesn;t slide around would be a better idea.

I had thought about the over arms thing, but wasn't sure how to do it exactly.
Seen any good examples of it?
Superglue works wonders. It even keeps my wife's mouth shut!

(Just kidding, I'd never do anything like that to my wife. Instead, I put some superglue into my ears, ahhh the peace...).
