To me the most annoying part (for Galaxy) is not having to log in to admin account to install new game. Though it is also annoying, that can be planned. The worst is I also need to log in to admin account to update the game. So the first thing I check after opening Galaxy is always seeing if it's trying to download patches, and immediately close Galaxy if it is since whatever downloaded when I am in standard account will still need to be re-download in admin account.

If you click the GOG symbol in Galaxy and select 'Settings', select 'Features' and then uncheck the 'Auto-update games' check box, then you wont have to worry about new patches being automatically downloaded; instead you will get a little blue dot next to the installed game and if you click on the game you will see a blue 'update available' text. Simply click the 'more' button (when you're in a suitable Windows account) and select 'Update now' to update your game.
Galaxy does not work unless you are on an admin account?! REALLY?!?!?!!?!!
