The other day I got a newslater from GOG in which it was mentioned that, amongst others, Far Cry 2 was on sale.

I suddenly rembered that game, and the fact that I allready own a boxed copy. That boxed copy is somewhat of a pain to install and get/keep running though, on modern machines, by modern standards. So, I was wondering whether there's any way I'd be able to "redeem" my original CD-key for a GOG copy.

Though it used to be far more common than it is now, STEAM used to allow non-STEAM boxed copies of certain games to be redeemed on STEAM, even though said games did not necessarily require STEAM. Does such a feature exist on GOG, and if not, wouldn't it be an idea for the future?

There are only several games you can activate on GOG this way. Far Cry 2 isn't one of them though.

It does say "more titles coming soon" though =D =D =D

I'm going to try and reclaim my S.T.A.L.K.E.R. copies as well.

Sadly, soon doesn't mean all that much here.
Don't get your hopes up.

I'm sure they're trying but there isn't all that much happening.

Well I managed to redeem my S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat key, which is a huge bonus for me.

Yet, when I try to rdeem my Shadow of Chernobyl key, I'm presented with the following message:

"Oops, something went wrong. Please refresh this page and try again."

It doesn't seem to reject the key though, and I've heard it's some kind of bug with GOG's redemption system. Does anyone have any experience with this issue, should I contact support?

That's an oddly appropriate typo. :D
Nice advice. Yes. I think gog should add all great games on it. I have played gtav and call of duty. They are very awesome. I have play the witcher 3 on GOG already. That is first time i have try gog. Which suggested by friend. After i got the key from scdkey. and downloaded the platform on my PC. Actually The witchers is nice game that i love it when i first time join it.
