zgrillo2004: sorry for jumping out of you. I thank you for the help. I am waiting for a response from GOG at the moment. and I know some people that can protect me as well. ;) Again Thank you sir. And I wasnt aware that this has been going on in russia. Tell me more about this?
Sure! Whats going on in Russia? If you mean other people computers getting hijacked and their mail accounts (and not only that) misused by criminals, that's going on in every country in world. We have Department K of Internal Affairs to deal with online criminal activity. But it does not mean, it does not exist - the law-less "democratic" 90ties, comparable to 192x in USA, are just behind the corner.
Interesting. Well Im gonna wait this out and hopefully GOG will restore my account

zgrillo2004: Its possible but Im not pointing fingers. It was probably from my profile.
This is why you were hacked, too forgiving and understanding.

Lin545: Duckduckgo also knows you.
@zgrillo, I think he's now threatening you, this "duckduckgo" must be his gang's name.

I've never heard of them, must be some Russian/Siberain organised crime family.

I press two thumbs for you mate! I hate criminal scum.

If you keep me informed one certain aspect, namely wither that mail account was further changed or anyhow involved - namely wither its him changing your password or someone controlling his machine (and access to mail) via rootkit - I'll either contact that guy directly (only in case he's not involved) or organize a call to mail.ru secteam to inform them about their customer breaking TOS. Which usually results in account suspension. GOG can also sue him for damages. Anyway, I will be waiting till you get your account back and secure.

But it was just 3 minutes ago still showing Russian Federation in there, now it is showing right again.

So everything back to normal. Did the hacker give you at least some free games? (evilgrin)

PS: There is a button in "login and security" (bottom right) saying logout all!!!!!

Use it!!!! And just above is the 2 step login ;)

PPS: Lazy you, "from the states".....hmmmm.......DO I need to say more? ;)

I think it's safer for you there in the US than staying in Russia, you did the right thing.

At least it will be far harder for the DuckDuckGo crime family to get to you.

Glad you got it back! Excuse me please, because I assumed you are from Russia hence my posts in Russian. Did the GOG tell anything about email owner? Should I contact mail.ru abuse or him, what do you think?

Edit: Well, I just reported him to mail.ru abuse.

You don't seem all that concerned about how someone managed to obtain your details?

Getting your account back was the easy bit.

Many thanks, Bela, I solved it.
