Azukaos: Hey guys it's me Sajiaa with my main account and yeah i got hacked because on my main computer gog.com and galaxy are still connected and for the information this is the email of the guys who has hacked me : STEAMSUPPORT19@GMAIL.COM if someone can make something out of this, so i'm gonna send screenshot and whatever i find to the support, but i can't change anything from here (since i need to "log in" in order to change the adress...).

So i hope they gonna move with this...
I would consider writing an email to said account. In some cases the account were used by people (probably sold) who didn't know they were hacked. The scheme of the email address suggests some bot at work which also scams Steam. I would also contact actual Steam support - maybe they can trace the account (I guess Steam has rather extensive logs of everything). GOG and Steam may be competitors, but fighting scammers and blackhats should be of mutual interest.

I have take contact with steam like you said, with all the information i have and screenshot of the problem, i hope they can do something soon because i'm not gonna be at home for a moment and the only proof i have is here :/
I would like to know how they were able to get my account. I usually use different passwords for all the different sites i use. Hope that we get our accounts sorted soon :/ . Wishing that I bought Witcher 3 for Steam now.
Have GOG implemented any security measures to changing crucial information like passwords or email address?

I think they're still working on that stuff and if they did implement any new measures, then I'm sure they'll let us know when they do. The staff i talked to like a week ago said they're figuring out better security measures and whatnot. Kind of wish they'd soon figure out my account...

n3kr0s: Acct Hacked here too! The weird thing i can post on board and can see the new email the hacker put. I found out only cause when starting playing on Galaxy I saw a strange avatar (i thought about a new feature :D); went to change it and found out a never used email.

I sent a ticket but i'm a little frustrated to play this way and i am waiting to be fixed soon!

Hi!

First off, I'd like to apologise to all who have experienced account hacking on our site over the past couple of days. We're hard at work to make this less of an issue and less likely to happen - but I understand how frustrating it must be to lose access to your games.

Having said that, there's a new measure that will help us pick up on hacked accounts more easily.

If your account e-mail changes, you will get an automated message.

It that looks like this and has the new e-mail address, the old one, the IP currently in use (together with estimated location), and the OS and browser of the current user.

If you get such a message and it wasn't you who changed the email address

Use the link at the end of the message ("contact our support team") to let us know it happened. You'll be redirected to our contact form - here's an example of how to fill that in.

We do our best to get back to hacked account emails as soon as possible, and to change the e-mail addresses as quickly as we can and restore the fully functional accounts to their rightful users.

IMPORTANT:

1) When contacting us regarding a hacked account, you must replace the e-mail address with one you have access to - otherwise, our reply will end up at the hacker's e-mail address, which you have no control over or access to.

2) Please do not send multiple requests to support - if you do, your request is pushed to the back of the queue again. If you feel the need to add more details to your support request without getting bumped back, you can do so by replying to the automated support reply you will get with your Ticket ID.

3) As soon as you get access to your account back, please change your password. It may be a simple thing, but please don't forget. It will mean the hacker once more lost access to your account for sure.

In the email which informs you that your address has changed, why not include a confirmation link? That would stop 90% of the cases that need to go through the slow GOG support happening, since they can just put a stop to the request there and then.

The email shouldn't say "lol, sorry but some dude in Whateverland has changed your email address, have a nice day!" it should say "Yo, did you move to Thisplaceica? Because someone tried to change your email address from there. Click below if this was intended, ignore this email and change your password if it wasn't."

Basic security stuff. You should have this nailed down before you're allowed to sell stuff...

+1 to this. Should pretty much be a basic security measure. While I guess it's nice to get notification that your account was hacked, it's far better to actually stop it before it happens.

Two factor auths should've been here from the start as well. They'd better stop implementing GOG wallet before disaster coming in because of weak security.
