I've recently been in touch with Defiant Development, inquiring why the Soundtracks are available on Steam but not on GOG. This was their response:
Hi,

Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad you're enjoying HoF2. We've reached out to GoG in the past to see if they're interested in our soundtracks on their platform, but we've never heard anything back. To counter that, we've made the soundtrack available on a number of platforms, most of which are listed on our Steam FAQ. http://steamcommunity.com/app/456670/discussions/0/1480982971181978311/

Cheers,

Now I perfectly understand not everybody goes crazy for game Soundtracks, I personally don't either but whenever it's made available I gladly buy it. I've taken a quick look at Bandcamp and while it's like the "GOG of music" over there, I prefer to spend my money here. Besides, Soundtrack are usually a fire and forget, no patches or extra work required.
The more, the better!

With all the work they have to do, I'm not surprised that these things go in the background, maybe if the moderators read this thread something will move!
