Astrazebra: The refunds shouldn’t be used as reviews, and we reserve the right to refuse refunds in individual cases.

Considering the circumstances, we feel this an abuse of our policy and can't issue a refund for this purchase. We would kindly ask you to make informed decisions about your future orders as consecutive refund requests might also be denied.
Seems like support has summed it up. You buy games, review then refund.

NO!

Astrazebra: Requested a normal > Stronghold Crusader HD < refund today and they sent a message:
...
it's R$ 3.40 refund for the game, you always refund quickly
Would you please provide the quantity of games for which you had previously sought a refund (prior to the Stronghold Crusader HD refund attempt)?

Astrazebra: I have reviewed your ticket history and it appears you have requested a considerable number of refunds for your purchases. The refunds shouldn’t be used as reviews, and we reserve the right to refuse refunds in individual cases.

Based on the experience of other forum members (as well as the above excerpt), GOG is absurdly lenient (to a self-detrimental degree). In this specific instance, the refund request seems to have been rejected only after incontrovertible evidence had indicated a pattern of capitalizing on the goodwill of GOG.

Hi, do you know any sites that make subtitles in other languages for games? I'm having this problem with the same game as there's no way to get a refund.

For Stronghold Crusader HD, this link may be of assistance to you (as suggested within the appropriate PC Gaming Wiki article).

Please don't steal from gog.com, they will become less friendly and tell their AI to keep quiet : )
If you need a game for free beg for it on the giveaway. While stealing and begging are things not to be very proud of, ultimately, begging is an honourable approach toward friendly people. We are friendly people; We beg you for love because we believe you are friendly : ) What language is needed for games? What is the next game you would like to play? ^°

I understand it's difficult when things aren't written in one's familiar, native language, but please try to do the rule reading part before the money spending part in future.
GOGs honesty system can only continue whilst everyone taking advantage of its benefits shares in a common value, and continues to be honourable. Despite how easily I could probably steal from GOG, for a few reasons, I don't; and personally, I'd quite like it if this system persisted for a while to come.
It would be much It's much better than the alternative, where everyone has to be treated under the assumption that they are a scoundrel or a thief because of the actions of some. Thanks.

(Also, I'm not accusing you of being dishonest or unscrupulous, it's just a general request.)

Imo the way you are treated by support is deserved if you're abusing the system.
Sorry, but this is my truthful opinion.

GOG lists the supported languages in the right-hand column on each game page. You should look at this before you buy a game. For example, Stronghold lists "Português do Brasil", but the game in question here, Stronghold Crusader HD doesn't. (Although luckily in this case there is a downloadable translation available, as Palestine pointed you toward.)

In the future, you can filter for language support on GOG's search page, or with integrated price tracking in R$, on gamesieve (my site).
There are even 73 games with Brazilian Portuguese audio, and another 30 with Portuguese audio (only partly overlapping). (That's not something you can filter on GOG.)

Que situação vergonhosa!

If you only have 8 games in your account, and you are getting this response from GOG...then you are definitely the problem.

There is no twisting of words or excuses that make this acceptable on your part. It doesn't have to be spelled out in so many words in any language where common-sense can be used instead. This isn't a library, mano.

If it's a supported languages issue...read the gamecard before making transactions to see if it's supported.

Que pé no saco
