Then yes, the websites are the best option. I've also heard of some cases where people were scammed, but this has never happened to me. Moreover, they are holding skins not because they want to scam you, it's a Steam trade restriction that enables after you give skins to their bots. And if you want to avoid this, sell skins on dmarket - https://dmarket.com/ingame-items/item-list/csgo-skins (they have an option to trade without the bots, just enable Face2Face trading in the account settings).
