UhuruNUru: Not sure what exactly you refer to, I never said devs "Must" do anything.

UhuruNUru: It's not a "Self-centred definition", it's a practical, and scientific one, due to how online multiplayer must work.
Except it's objectively and factually not how online multiplayer "must" work. If you're now saying it's a choice, good, but that's not what you said originally.

No I just Checked, the only time I used the word "Must" is in this paragraph

UhuruNUru:
A lot of GOG users, get this account protection system, confused with DRM, because always online DRM, must use the same login systems, for same account management reasons. However always online DRM, also forces you to play single player mode, while still connected to the sever.
I'm clearly refering to how always online DRM, not multiplayer,.

Where I do talk about server based multiplayer systems, I thought it was clear I was talking about the current trends, which are for Dev controlled servers, and Store controlled Clients, pioneered by Steam, and one of the main reason that Galaxy was created.

I never said multiplayer must be done that way, but it's what most games use these days, because selling microtransactions does require connecting to dev controlled servers, account linking etc..
