The Karoo. A hauntingly beautiful part of the country. Weirdly I found the landscape depressing as a kid.

I got very sidetracked with other things, but before the year's end at least, I wanted to thank you all for sharing your wonderful and candid photos. I very much enjoyed taking a peek at your corner of the world. If you're up for it, I'd like to keep things going and I'll try to stop by a bit more often.

The following are pictures of Christmas fairs in the Romanian cities of Cluj-Napoca, Craiova, Oradea, and Sibiu.

Switching gears for a bit (because I'm hungry, LOL), stuffed tomatoes are a common appetizer for special occasions around here. I didn't have any last year, and I kind of miss them now.

Image source is retete-usoare.info though you don't need to bother to machine translate it. I'm sure another recipe in English (or your own language) would do fine.

By the way, I'm hosting a little giveaway right now. Stop on by and see if you're interested in one of the three games.
