Man...... when you thought SEGA couldn't get any worse they have this new sales period where all your owned SEGA games get a refurbished look displaying as one their old console physical boxings

It is already worse enough we have to deal with a new generation of programmers let stand this atrocious insult towards any self respecting relic/ca or whatever gamer!

It is a bit surprising that the first shogun received a similar overhaul, with that being a collaboration between EA and CA, that is the only game that does not show up in their total war launcher either ( if i'm not mistaken )

Anyway... this can't get any worse right? it is almost on the same level as selling a pc game you can only enjoy with a controller

Only retribution seems to be spared from this ridicule

In what world is "nightmare" defined as "entirely trivial stuff that no one cares about"?

Oh wow, a casual attempt at intelligence... carry on
Not quite understanding your angst about new box art during the sale. Is this a permanent thing? They not trying to make more sales by having you buy the same game with different digital art, no? I'm a bit lost.

All that I see here is that people at Sega have a sense of humour. That's all. On the other hand, it's unfortunate to see a missed opportunity - 60th anniversary could have been a great occasion to release their games on GOG.

No, the new box art is just for the duration of the sale

In that we both agree, they could at least throw GOG everything from 2015 and the past ....

i never perceived any sega game as humorous though, maybe that is where i went wrong

( oke oke 2 point hospital, but they needed the older themehospital blue print for that one

Its mostly first world shit, but truth be told esthetics do matter at least a little.

Have you seen the recent fifa 21 cover art? Its so terrible that its laughable. You could redraw the cover in mspaint and it would look incredible in comparision regardless in what you will be doing with the drawing itself.

The entirely trivial land of Trivia.

Glory to Trivia!

I believe it's called teenage drama world. I've never visited it, even as a teenager.

If it's that important, nowadays you can add your own 'boxart' in the Steam client.

oh cmon, even a sorry ass like you should understand the difference between subjective, objective and the means towards...

reminds me of this girl i dated who was afraid of clowns

or that other girl who let me wait for a good hour before she came home after a night shift........ only to find a very damp and wet situation already when we left for bed to make it up... you know if your girl is late damp wet and smoking hot ..... talk 'bout a nightmare

She dated you and was afraid of you? I'm not judging.

Yeah thats true, theres some amazing looking custom boxarts out there that people can use.

I use a custom client where you have to link your video game exes in order to make them appear, all with custom designs and stuff. Most games I've put inside the custom client dont require Steam to run, except of games like Dota 2 of course. Its like a good alternative if you use offline installers but not Galaxy if you feel like you want to costumize everything.

Sites like steamgriddb are good sites that at least provide some guidance if you feel that you're missing logos.

EDIT: If people really want to know hit me up in chat. Don't really want to change the topic of the thread or stop OP from insulting us.

Launchbox doesn't even need manual linking, it can detect your installed GOG games. ;-)

Oh I didn't knew this exists, through this looks like a client for people who play MANY games. A "automated" client like this is something I may have use for at some point. Thanks!

It may sound silly but having something that requires setting up things with some effort also leads me to spend more times playing the game.
