I've wanted to try my hand at a giveaway thread here and what better occasion than Halloween? Since I have a couple spare keys for games that are on the GOG Connect list I figured I'd give this a shot for fun. The games I have are Layers of Fear (CLAIMED), Hand of Fate (have two keys for this), and SOMA (CLAIMED). Obviously these are Steam keys you'd redeem first there, then here through Connect.

For this little giveaway we'll play a small trivia game. Below are eight years, each accompanied by a hint. These years and hints pertain to a horror themed game (and series) that started in the listed year (except for the last.)

X 1992 - (CLEARED: ALONE IN THE DARK) Considered the grand daddy of survival horror.
X 1995 - (CLEARED: CLOCK TOWER) While western gamers were introduced to this series through its sequel on the PS1, the original is actually a SNES game (which has been fan translated.) Also, scissors.
X 1996 - (CLEARED: RESIDENT EVIL) Dogs and windows. 'nuff said.
X 1999 - (CLEARED: SILENT HILL) This game starts with a nightmare scenario where the player is forced to "die" in order to proceed. (Only on the first playthrough though.)
X 2002 - (CLEARED: FATAL FRAME/PROJECT ZERO) There is only one weapon used throughout this series Its purpose is to exorcise your enemies.
X 2008 - (CLEARED: DEAD SPACE) That floating severed hand in space? That was EA's doing.
X 2010 - (CLEARED: AMNESIA - THE DARK DESCENT) You deliberately erased your memory and left yourself with this note. Now why would you do that?
X 2014 - (CLEARED: ALIEN: ISOLATION) Looking for your mom? Game over man! (This is the only entry that is not a "first" in its series.)

So here's the rules:
- You need a Steam and GOG account obviously.
- REVISED. Just no brand new less than 2 month old accounts, okay?
- You need to solve TWO (and ONLY two) of these in the same post and post the game you wish to receive with your submitted answers.
- Please don't rapidly spam posts in an attempt to get correct answers eventually, give other people a chance after you post (assuming your initial post wasn't confirmed as correct.)
- Whenever a poster has both of their answers confirmed as correct by me, those years are no longer available for subsequent users to answer for.

Just one more simple hint, most of these series aren't super obscure. So really if the answer sounds obvious for some, you should go with your gut reaction. All of these entries EXCEPT for the 2014 one are years for the FIRST games in these series. (2014 is just a specific game in a franchise hint hint.)

Example post:

1998 - Half-Life
2007 - The Witcher
Looking to get SOMA.

That's a fun way to do a giveaway. I'll give it a try.

2008 - Dead Space

I'd like to get Layers of Fear.

Spot on, you've got it. Hopefully the DLC transfers as well!

I believe I sent the code in a conversation so please take a peek and pop in your code, okay?

1996- dogs jumping through windows. Horrifying stuff.

Gotta be Resident Evil game. (the first one)

2010- Erasing memory as a twist in the plot.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent.

I would be in for SOMA if not for the rules unfortunately.
Rep really means nothing in this forum anymore. Even forum veterans agree.
Don't worry, I've got you covered. I kind of forgot when making this that I could see your registered date. The rep thing was initially mentioned so that it's not just people making new accounts or whatever to swoop in and take stuff. As long as I don't see the account is brand new out of the blue (we'll say within two months?) I'll call it fair game. You've gotten it right anyhow.

Check for a message.

Yep, thank you. Redeeming on Steam worked but GOG Connect is acting up now. Have to try again tomorrow.

Sadly I don't believe GOG Connect can transfer DLCs. Perhaps that will be possible at a later date.

As for doctorsinister, since I don't know him I can neither vouch for nor against him. What he said about rep is true though. Since some jerks created an army of fake accounts and started using automated scripts to downvote anyone they don't like quite a view people have constantly lost rep, me included.
EDIT: Congrats to Geralt_of_Riviaanddoctorsinister

No worries, they got their rightful prize. I agree about the rep situation, it was just an initial way of telling it wasn't a fresh account until I remembered the registration time is listed with it. That criteria's been revised a bit now.

You were on the path to the right answer but one of those was incorrect. (Hint, it was the sequel you listed.) Care to give it one more go?

Thanks for the game exceed. Redeemed it.

I agree with Geralt. GOG Connect is causing errors when it comes to transferring the game details. Will try again.

I can send you screenshots of the errors if you like.
1995 - Clock Tower
2002 - Fatal Frame / Project Zero

It might take a little time due to it being a recent acquisition. Make sure your profile is set to public too (I think that's how it went for Connect anyway).

Pouyou-pouyou: 1995 - Clock Tower
2002 - Fatal Frame / Project Zero
That is correct. You've got Hand of Fate.

You've got it. Keep an eye out for a message in a moment. Also, my favorite line in Death Note.

I want to thank Exceed20XX again for the Hand of Fate key.
I started to play it and I like it. So I decided to make a playthrough of the game on my channel (in french).
