Deadpool XMAS Trailer (Obviously NSFW)

So the new Deadpool trailer is out, the marketing for which has been on a roll for sometime and I am really looking forward to it now. Are all the jokes and one liners hilarious? certainly not, but there is just something about a character breaking the fourth wall in any medium that really appeals to me. Ryan Reynolds is 100 percent committed to this role and it certainly pays dividends as can be seen in the new trailer.

The action looks good for the limited budget this movie had and the lack of studio meddling will hopefully result in a film that does justice to the character people know from the comics. Colossus certainly looks the part unlike the previous X-Men movies, so all signs are pointing to it really being a different kind of superhero movie.
I've already read one "concerned parent" voicing her disgust that such 'vile foul mouthed psychopath is being marketed for young kids'. :P

Stupid fucking people man; they can be such a test!

Haha.....in the current "PC" climate I am surprised that this hard R-rated movie not only got greenlit but is about to be released in a month or so in theaters everywhere. I don't know if its going to make a lot of money but one things for sure, there will be huge shit storm against it. ;)

A little OT, but I fell in love with Deadpool while playing one of the Ultimate Marvel games. There is a level where, a SHIELD base I think, gets invaded. So you show up, take out the bad guys, and rescue the hostages.....UNLESS you have Deadpool in your party. :P If he's there he will insist the hostages pay him before he rescues them. XD

I also like his level up line:
"All right! Now I'm better and doing whatever it is Wolverine does!"
Well the trailer is funny and so is the poster below of the movie which is similar to teenager's yearbook picture where they look all sweet and innocent.

This movie will get my money.

I know, right? A Deadpool movie has been in development hell for ages, yet if it had it come out 5 to 10 years ago I don't think anyone would have noticed or cared about the movie. Today though, I reckon it probably has a better chance to actually be successful provided it doesn't utterly suck.
Ah not the Dirty Harry kind.
I'll wait for it on bluray.
Looking forward to this one!

That’s always been common with R-rated superhero movies. Stores will have the Deadpool movie in their DVD section, and Deadpool action figures in the kid’s section, so the character serves two very different audiences simultaneously and lacks marketing consistency in regards to age appropriateness. As always I’d recommend parents look at the age ratings on a movie, but I have a feeling I’d be wasting my breath because they have this preconception that all Superhero movies are/should be for kids.

Well, that was a surprisingly coherent thought. I’m going to treat myself to a chocolate biscuit from this here selection box.

And we could use more of those, even if their revenue has much lower potential.
