Expected. More so with Saber Interactive being involved in this project.

Playing around with this today. On a 2070 the performance is really bad. At the middle setting for everything, ray tracing off, I fall below 60fps at 1440p. Tested the original and while it's famously CPU limited in certain areas it never goes below 75 or so, and is usually over 100.

The TAA is godawful. I'm not a huge fan of it in general, but when it's well done it's fine enough. It's not well done here. There's two settings, one blurs the HELL out of everything constantly, and the other has super noticeable blur when moving, so you constantly see the world detail snap in and out as you move and stop. The shadows and lighting do look much better though, and the draw distance is MASSIVELY improved. There are some artistic changes though, like the opening mission jumping to a noon day look rather than sunrise after the opening night section.

PC controls are worse... no lean, crouch is now a sluggish toggle that barely feels like it works, sprinting is MAX SPEED or nothing apparently. No quicksave or quickload, only checkpoints. Loading stutters here and there.

All in all I think you'll be happy you waited a while on this, if you want to avoid Epic's Store. I asked for a refund.
