Hello Staff and Community,
so...it's 2022 you are what we dream of since the foundation time but... I am wondering if you plan to expand the site localization to more languages as for example... the Italian one.

Of course, I am speaking about and for my idiom but I am sure it would be a way to be closer to all of us with a dedicated localization.

About the project, I am more than an enthusiast for such an initiative and I'd like to support you on that... I am sure we can create sub-communities to work closely with each of the approved languages.

Thanks to be as you are!

Fabrizio

Hello, don't get your hopes up.
Gog didn't do it before when they had some profit, imagine now that they have some economic problems..
They don't have enough staff, nor do they seem very interested in improving the forums, unfortunately.
Also, I don't know how many italian users they have, maybe it's not worth it.
Also worth noting the site had Portuguese translation at some point too, but they removed it (but I still get emails from GOG in Portuguese every now and then among the ones in English, for some reason).

Hi sev7en. Thanks for bringing the topic once again to the table :)

I empathize with it: The more languages, the better.

Complex? No doubt. However, I also agree if GOG would have the initiative, volunteers would show up to help with. Another option would be to implement computer translations, are not perfect, but have been improving...

Let us hope this year it happens :)

Meanwhile, please do not forget to vote the multiple community wishes related. Some I can think of:

gog.com/wishlist/site#order=votes_total&search=italian
gog.com/wishlist/site#order=votes_total&search=translat
gog.com/wishlist/site#order=votes_total&search=language
Removing Portuguese localization was a bad move in my opinion, the only suitable explanation I have is lack of funding / resources to maintain the forum. Italian is a great language yet I think that IF GOG decide to expand on a new language it would be Spanish.
