So after 8-bit Armies and 8-bit Hordes Petroglyph is making another sci-fi oriented 8-bit series game called

8-bit Invaders.

Welcome to the world of Space Marines, Zerg and Orson Wells. Now with the content of all three games we are kind of getting to a full C&C like expirience. As normal every faction from every game will be playable in skirmish and multiplayer if you own all the games/dlcs.

Check the game here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/531680/

Short gameplay trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSQXwsMdIX0

Hopefully we shall see it on gog to. For the Emperor!

So if its going to be like with 8-bit Hordes its going to be a 5$/€ dlc for previous owners.

I think I'll wait till they've finished all the various add ons and bundled it as one edition (it's bound to happen eventually) before getting into this one...

Yeah, its better to wait if you are not much in to it. Personally I think they are releasing these addons too fast.
DLC glorified as a Standalone game, even though nobody would treat these games as standalone.
I'm a bit relieved I didn't buy 8-bit Armies when they only had a single faction in the game and told everyone 'we've got about 6 more factions on the way for 8-bit Armies depending on its reception'. At first I had the impression it was an Early Access game in disguise, but it was something a little more $neaky.

I hate standalone expansions\DLCs.
Fix the base game or make a different one!

That's really my beef with this. It's clearly not a whole lot of effort on their part to churn these new factions out, so charging for them (when the original game is apparently content light) seems a little suspect... :/
