Yeah looks nice, the publisher has an official trailer on YT where you can see some combat. The "Metroidvania" tag on GOG seems wrong, I thought they were 2D horizontal scrolling games generally in inner spaces, here it's top-view in open world.

Wishlisted March of Shrooms and Critter Crops. Those strawberry ghosts at the end of the trailer are too cute. :P

March of Shrooms for some reason reminds me of Super Mario or one of those series, at least some parts. Wishlisted.

Yeah, in the strictest definition of the term they're sidescrollers. GOG's understanding of the term seems to vary. I've seen games classed as metroidvanias here solely because they are 2D sidescrollers (despite lacking all other aspects of the genre). In this case it's likely the game has a lot of the other aspects, while being top-down. It appears to be a zeldalike, which is a closely related genre.
