Matewis: Pity that The Lost Vikings 2 isn't among them
Honestly, the only way we will ever see a release of The Lost Vikings 2 is if GOG pulls another miracle. The Lost Vikings 2 is in exactly the same situation as was the Hellfire expansion for Diablo 1.

The PC version of The Lost Vikings 2 was developed by Beam Software and has, what I personally consider, awful 3D sprites, and obnoxious sound effects. The big plus however, is that it has CGI movies and everything is voice acted. Just like with Hellfire, Blizzard pretends this version doesn't exist.

The SNES version was developed by Blizzard themselves and it's auditory and visually in line with the prequel.

I was not aware of the difference. It looks like they tried to make something like Gex and failed miserably.
Despite being freeware, I still hope they come to GOG as freebies :)
As long as Blizzard is tangled up in this huge cluster fuck of politics I don't see them giving GoG the keys to their classic franchises again any time soon. At this point Blizzard might just be too scared that even something positive like this somehow could end up in yet another PR blunder for them.

Ah yes I recall. Last time I was still looking for the pc version specifically because of the voice acting and the weird 3D vikings. Afraid I will have to track down a boxed copy somewhere.

Orkhepaj: Nice at least those old bliz games are good not like the newest ones.
Btw last 2 links are the same.
avatar
Dogmaus: apologies I'm correcting the links now
avatar
DadJoke007: IIRC those have been free for at least 10 years.
avatar
Dogmaus: Well, what happened is that they have removed the download link from the classics page and to my understaning you can reach them by this link now. Other classics like Diablo have a link to the GOG page.
Well, at least from I know is that those links were available for North Americans, but you were able to access them once you change sth in the link which shows the downloads - client downloads under your blizz account, that's at least how I was able to downlooad them.

Here are some alternative links in case those above don't work for someone, add them to your post if you want:

Elmofongo: And all these other games

[snip - super awesome long list]
Awesome list you have there.

I'd certainly love to see the Black & White games and their expansions come here to GOG.

Since you mentioned Fable 2 for PC, which are Microsoft-published games that were exclusive to Xbox consoles...
...We're also missing Gears of War 2,3, and Judgment on PC.
Would love for those to come here.

Another great list.

A lot of these games - especially the MMO's, I'd love for them to be able to be re-worked to work offline with an additional option to do some stuff online like say hubs/tobs/lobbies; raids; and/or missions needing other players online.

And while I'm at it for these online-only games and MMO's - I'd love to see AI/bots added for players to these games, in case raids and certain missions basically need teammates...so you don't always have to depend on playing online w/ other players. For game-preservation purposes, of course.

Since you've listed some online only games - I'd love to see The Secret World/Secret World Legends re-worked for offline play. Especially since it's so story & character focused.

I'd love to see Tabula Rasa return also.

Of course, Destiny 1+2 are obvious ones, that I'd love to see re-worked to work offline too.

EDIT:
I'd love to see D3 & RoS with Necromancer work offline for the PC. That would be great; would love to see those work offline, once a lot of people stop playing those online. Plus, console versions can work offline anyways, so...we should have that here at some point in time too.

There are at least 1,500 DOS games I could add to that list. :)
I downloaded Blackthorne and the Lost Vikings last year, which I loved back in the day, but I've yet to find the time to play them again.

Yes, it would be nice if both games were available. Though I have to admit, I think the PC version of LV2 looks really bad compared to the SNES, so I rather play it on a SNES emulator.
