I'm not sure how I missed this thread until now!

I think for me, the best giveaway has to be real.geizterfahr's 100 GOG games in 100 days. I mean, really, it was 100 games in 100 days. Just the dedication to get on here everyday for 100 days just to giveaway a game is amazing. Then he complicated it, and made it more exciting with the various jokers.

ZFR: Good luck all. And once again thanks to all the hosts and organizers (and participants!) of all the giveaways hosted here. Big or small. They really make these forums a special place.
Thank YOU for the fun with this GA. As MOMO1991 stated up ahead, even those who just came here to say "I am in" establish some kind of friendship along the forum; keeping the MAHAYO spirit I guess hahaha.

Good luck to all the contesters!
Very nice concept for a GA, +1.

It's so hard to pick only three from a big pool of GAs I enjoyed. It's no secret that my #1 type of GAs are those where we nominate others to win, then those that have discussion topics or some creative aspect to them. I'd also like to make my nominations count, so will nominate GA hosts that haven't been nominated yet.

1. dr.schliemann's 9.99$ GOG Gift Code [WANT] To give it away - he was the first one to follow in trentonlf's footsteps, it's always great to read why and how people are affected by other users, plus it makes me notice fellows I might have overlooked. *tips hat to all those that held such a GA*

2. akhliber's Ether One Deluxe Edition (GOG) - New Perspectives (Giveaway) - the topic of discussion was inspired by the game's theme, and it brought some difficult stories to light. *kudos to akhliber*

3. Tallima's The Invasion of CRON (Treasure Hunt - $413 worth of games to win) - if I'm not mistaken, he's the only one that created a game that allowed players to find game codes; this was his first GA of this type. *thanks Tallima*

There are many other GAs and honourable mentions would result in an endless list, so won't do it.
But I'd like to thank all the peeps that have held interesting, thought provoking, original, enjoyable and generous GAs, thus contributing to a constant flow of joy on this board.

Not in.
That covers all possible ways one becomes eligible in this specific GA.

HypersomniacLive: 3. Tallima's The Invasion of CRON (Treasure Hunt - $413 worth of games to win) - if I'm not mistaken, he's the only one that created a game that allowed players to find game codes; this was his first GA of this type. *thanks Tallima*
This was in 2014? Wow! I was sure it was 2013 O.O

Wow. that one was great too.

And thanks for nominating some of the older GAs for this! I imagine with this kind of giveaway, there naturally tends to be some recency bias.

Bump =)
Thank you very much for this neat idea and wonderful opportunity to recognize the ceaselessly amazing generosity of this one of a kind community ZFR and also for giving away games so +rep to you. I am not in for myself but as many others have mentioned it is a really difficult task to select only three from the plethora of incredible giveaways this year so I will just highlight a few others that haven't been mentioned with one exception.

NameGoo's Pick a card! was really great not only for a very neat idea but the sheer amount of astounding manual effort that went into setting it up. I had a blast in the giveaway yet couldn't believe the tremendous generosity and thoughtfulness displayed by NameGoo, for making the extraordinary effort of writing game keys on all 52 cards of a deck. I know he doesn't get time to participate often in the forum but I really hope that he accepts this well deserved appreciation for his unique and brilliant giveaway this year.

Dzsono's GOG Community World Cup Pool was arguably the most fun I have had participating in on the forum since it was the first ever such event I competed for which also led to some great conversation with others about the various controversies of the tournament. The efforts Dzsono made to setup and organize the pool as well as regularly updating it was just wonderful and to top off a lot of other members donated games as prizes which resulted in almost all the people that entered the pool receiving a game. Dzsono then distributed all those prizes for over a couple of month atleast yet took nothing for himself and I think it is time that he got something for his outstanding contribution this year.

TBBBBOB Presents: A Postcard from Foxworks and Sachys has already been recognized by other folks but I would again like to highlight the tremendous efforts of Sachys and foxworks for consistently organizing it every week for over six months give or take a few. Not to mention the exceptionally positive affect this giveaway series has had on the entire forum by safeguarding the interest of all the awesome folks that donate their games to find good homes. It has worked really well as being an excellent replacement for the old ninja thread which also encourages members new and old to actively participate in the forum instead of using arbitrary numbers as a measuring stick. For all this and more I would also like to nominate Chimp n' Cheese for well earned accolades and appreciation this year.

Lastly there have been a huge amount of other great giveaways this year whether with a genuinely interesting topic of discussion, unique twist incorporating a game, highlighting a cool event, sheer spirit of generosity, involving some creative endeavor or just giving away games to bring joy to others without hosting a formal giveaway. So I would like to especially commend a few folks as well this year for such transgressions that always get +rep from me whether I participate or not like akhliber, alloy627, AnonymousGiftBot, awalterj, BillyMaysFan59, Briareos262, budejovice, chevkoch, Coelocanth, cristigale, Cyraxpt, DampSquib, ddickinson, DeMignon, Dischord, dr.schliemann, Enebias, Gonchi, Gnostic, Grargar, grimgroove, HypersomniaLive, IAmSinistar, kazmar, KneetheCap, LinustheBold, LynetteC, madth3, misteryo, Momo1991, PaterAlf, Popinjay, Ragnarblackmane, real.geizterfahr, Rodzaju, RWarehall, samlii, Schnuff, Soccorro, Tallima, Tarnicus, tfishell, trentonlf, vulchor, wolfsrain, wpegg, xckx among many, many others that continue to inspire me to pay it forward as this is by no means a complete list. My sincerest apologies to everyone else that I have failed to mention either due to ignorance or lack of recollection.

Thank you! :D

I'm glad PaterAlf won something too, I enjoyed taking part in the Christmas Avatar competition (and have been thoroughly enjoying the prize I got).
Wow, I'm absolutely overwhelmed!

I didn't even realize that my giveaway was nominated and winning the Best Giveaway Award with all the other great and generous giveaways all around the year is really a big honor.

It's great to see that so many people like what I did and I promise that I will take this award as an incentive to create some nice giveaways in 2015 as well. :-)

Thank you very much to the people who nominated me, to ZFR who created this giveaway and especially to everybody who makes this community such a great place!!!
Congrats, both adaliabooks and PaterAlf! And since PA was one of mine nominees as well, I'm double happy (for him). :)
And thanks to ZFR as well! BTW, how would you announce it if this GA would be nominated and won? :P
