I just downloaded the witcher 3 and it says "Release in under one hour". Any idea why it won't let me play?

try verify/repair, for do that click on the game image in the left, click on more, and manager. (in gog galaxy)

This is a problem that seems to effect a lot of Galaxy users, unfortunately.
Of course, you could always download the install files manually, without Galaxy, but naturally you probably don't want to do that. That's a last case scenario.
Okay, try this - manually download the day one patch, and install it. I believe that it only works if the game was installed to the C drive though (this may have changed since). Start the game without using Galaxy. Open it from the desktop shortcuts, or use the .exe files.
Hopefully the game should run!
