My congratulations, cose_vecchie, and thank you very much for the giveaway! I want to wish you many more decades here and to know if I'm worthy for Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell or Unreal Gold.

FrostburnPhoenix: In for Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic. Although I almost feel bad about it seeing as to how popular it seems to be.
That's because it's great! No need to feel bad.

bler144: Not in, but congrats and thanks for the GA!

I'm going to have to post to see how long I've been on gog, though I didn't really join the forums til I think whenever Double Insomnia was. 2014 maybe?
Thank you! That was in 2015:

Congratulations cose_vecchie, happy 10th anniversary!

I found out about GOG around 2009 (I guess) when googling the alternatives to purchase ChessMaster 9000.
Honestly, I didn't like the ,,digital download,, business proposal at all, so I passed.
I stood still & strong until 2012 when I was gifted an iphone and fell into its digital store... a year later, a tablet drove me to Gplay...
And like with the rest of the vgame stores, was until recent years (GOG, 2017, gives you the idea) I gave up by the ,,forced trendy,, way things have evolved...
to not sour this much, let me focus now on some positives in general:
More affordable prices, faster internet, and lots of vgames on the catalog to pick from. Being a late adopter pays I guess... :)
I'm still convinced digital purchases are a high risk business to us customers,
(to present it mildly), but the investment, logistics, pros/cons, etc...
Well, wanted or not, make us participate of them as a calculated risk.

Anyway, the real cherry top was to realize the GOG forum life last year.
Lots of interesting people & info available!
Just like you, generous enough to share not only this milestone
but a -truly curated- list of vgames to giveaway and celebrate.
A priceless golden offer if you ask me!

If I am allowed, I'd like to participate for
-Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell
-Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic
-DethKarz

Thanks & congrats again!
Good luck to the participants. Cheers!
Happy 10th and thanks for the giveaway! I'm in!

If I win, I'd like one of these (listed in priority/preference as you requested):

1) Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic
2) Unreal Gold
3) The Penumbra Collection
4) Zork Nemesis: The Forbidden Lands
5) Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell

Best of luck to everyone and thanks again for the giveaway and for sticking around for ten years!
Happy GOGversary!

Thanks for the giveaway, I'd like to be in for these titles:
Zork Nemesis: The Forbidden Lands
DethKarz
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell
Happy anniversary, and thank you for giving away all these games!
I discovered GOG only a few months ago, and I instantly felt in love with the platform: I started collecting some old (and new) gems avaliable there, and i realised what really means "DRM-free".

Now I'm spreading the word to all of my friends, and I convinced some of them to start utilizing the platform.
And I also see that you are another Italian so I'm glad to see someone else like here.

Now I would like to enter for winning DethKarz and The Adventures of Shuggy, and thank you again!

Alla prossima!
Not in but happy 10th anniversary! I hope GoG keeps going for another 10 years.
Congratulations on your 10th anniversary!!!! Next year will be mine :)
Not in.

It's true that the digital format has its pros and cons. For me, there's really no choice when we're dealing with old or very old games, which would be very hard to find, generally sold at high prices, and often needing some tweaking to work on modern systems - and I'm not even mentioning the ease of storage... as much as I might miss the physical media (and as an "old gamer", I sometimes do). At least, on GOG they're DRM-free.
And often, you don't really have a choice, for example with modern games that are only available digitally, or, conversely, with old games that aren't available in digital format (and maybe never will be due to legal reasons), forcing you to hunt for physical copies (as I've done sometimes).

Ciao, e grazie! Benvenuto.
There are a few other Italian regulars around here. Maybe you've already met them. I wonder if there'll ever be an Italian subforum... we'll meet there, if that ever happens!

I've seen some other Italians here, but only on old topics; I actually started looking daily here only a few weeks ago, never used forums so much, and I won't be so optimistic to see new non-english subforums, expecially an Italian one, since we are not even in the top 10 of the most profitable countries for them.

Il mio strano Gordon Freeman ti saluta :)
Congratulations on the anniversary cose_vecchie, and thank you for the giveaway! Hoping for many great years to come!

I'd like to enter for the following, in decreasing order of preference:

Zork Nemesis: The Forbidden Lands

The Penumbra Collection

Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic

Unreal Gold
Giveaway is closed! I will proceed to draw the winners and send them the keys, then I will publish the results in a post below.
It will take some time, though, as I have yet to come home from the annoying thing, so... stay tuned.

random.org has spoken... the numbers have been drawn... here are the results:

Unreal Gold goes to... Hooyaah
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell goes to... ywzywz
Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic goes to... actapb
Syndicate Plus goes to... josh72718
The Penumbra Collection goes to... PMPMGamer
Zork Nemesis: The Forbidden Lands goes to... truhlik
DethKarz goes to... pippo-san
The Adventures of Shuggy goes to... LegoDnD

The most popular game was (predictably, I think) Splinter Cell, followed by AoWSM.
I hope the winners will derive as much fun and enjoyment from these games as I had.
Thank you to all who took part in this giveaway, and to all who sent me their greetings for this little anniversary.
To all who said, "here's to another 10 years on GOG!" I can only reply: I hope so!
You know, lately it's become somewhat frequent to stumble upon dire prophecies about the future of this store. I'm no financial expert, I don't have access to special information and I don't own a crystal ball. I really don't know what the future will bring. I just hope that GOG will continue to do well and be a great source for DRM-free games, old and new - perhaps securing some big releases along the way.
See you soon around here!
...amen! :)

Thanks for good words and the giveaway.
Congrats to the winners – and have fun with your games.

Looking back on the last weeks I'm an optimist. A lot of nice releases, many good old games have found new home here and some of them are now in my GOG Library :)
Congratulations to the winners!
