Say, is there a way to increase the font size in Geneforge 5?

I'm playing it in 1920x1080 fullscreen resolution and the text is tiny. I can only read it by leaning forward and squinting. >_> (Pretty much everything in the game is tiny at this resolution, really. It seems to favor a wider area coverage over bigger sprites.)

So... 3 years later and me wanting to give the game another shot, what's the state of opinion here?
Can I change the font size somehow?
As far as I know, there is no way to change the font size, unless you don't want to edit the fonts themselves (they are stored in files G250, G251, G252, G253, G254 in the folder Graphics Core).

The only way to overcome your problem is setting a lower resolution. Or buying a larger monitor. :-)

Except it's even smaller at 1440p or 4K.
Hrm, editing the fonts is a bad idea, since I don't know how the game would react to that. Would it scale the interface? Would the text overrun everything, going off the screen?

That's no good. -_-

I'd suggest asking at Jeff's Spiderweb forums, they might know something.
Hm, that might be an idea. Do you have a link to their official forum?
