I don't suppose there's'a work around to remove subtitles from gameplay? For this and all the other wadjet eye(esque) games too. If I remember right this particular game had voice only option many years back, and has been removed. Like, why not keep that option in there? Just keeping the portrait mode on without text should be enough to keep track of whos saying what.
