I finally gotten round to playing Gangland after a long time since I purchased it. However, I noticed a couple of people, while surfing around the web, had problems activating the cheats. And here's why, because it can be quite obvious to miss.

When keying in the cheats, you need to add in the word "cheat" alongside the cheat code.

For example, the cheat to remove the "Fog of war" is "kidiseeeverything".

Correct way to enter the cheat -

"cheat kidiseeeverything" - minus the " "

Wrong way to enter the cheat -

"kidiseeeverything" - minus the " "

Press the "~" button to bring up the console.

Very minor tips

Right-click to move, talk, interact, lay orders

Hitting the "B" button automatically rotates the camera at the 4 various angles making life 100% easier.

Hitting the "P" button pauses the game. During pause, you can scroll the map and issue some commands, like attacking an enemy or moving to a spot, but they will only be active once you unpause the game.

Each city type contains only certain businesses/buildings.

Little Italy - Restaurants, Arms dealers, Distilleries, Garages, Import/Exports, Jewelers, residential areas (level 2&3).

The Docks - Restaurants, Arms dealers, Distilleries, Garages, Warehouses, Pawnshops, residential areas (level 1&2).

Suburbs - Almost the same as The docks, but missing some and all buildings are typically at lousy levels.

The Strip - Restaurants, Arms dealers, Distilleries, Jewelers, Hotels, Fashion Boutiques, Casinos, residential areas (level 2&3), offices (same function as residentials), Bank (NPC, can't be owned), Musuem (NPC, can't be owned)

Every city comes with the basic police stations and Churches.

All very minor stuff, but if you are lazy to read the manual, this can suffice for a start.

Thanks for the tips!

Did you ever have problems with crashing at specific points?

Hey ShadowWulfe!

It was stable for me, as at the time, I was using Win XP as my operating system. I've yet to try it out on my now current Win 8 platform.

Ah, yah I'm Win8. Certain missions crash on loadout, and I have to change the renderer to D3D. I ended up just changing it to that anyway, despite the awful choppy audio that I got with that (beats being totally unplayable at certain missions).

Thank!
I have completed the story mode several times and although I enjoy playing it still I want to have fun what other cheats are there for this game that can change the way I play OR are there any mods / map editors available?
