For those who may be interested, this runs flawlessly under Wine. You will need a new version though, something later in the 1.5 series because of a problem with the new GOG installer (gdiplus) and older Wine versions. But the install worked great, and then just launched the game from the system menu. I was running Linux Mint 14 on that machine.
