Can you at least give the illusion there is a fog of war for the computer players. It's obvious the computer knows exactly where all of the colonizeable planets are without exploring. I know of the issue where all of the computer players use the same fog of war, but this is something else. I bet in your code colony ships are programmed to head to the nearest colonizeable world and there is no check to see if the space around it has been colonized by any player. I am getting tired of playing the game with 3 or fewer colonies without setting up a huge galaxy with only a few players.

Suggestion: put a limit on how far an Ai colony ship will travel for the first 20 to 40 turns.
Yeah it's annoying but on the other hand colonizing is the only thing the AI is somewhat good at...

The Devs have said the AI don`t know where everything is, at least on Normal, despite what some insist.

Yes it used to be the case where the AI could 'just happen' to send a colony ship from their area to your area and flog that level 20 world that you yourself have not even spotted yet!

Surprisingly, in my latest games i have actually been seeing scouts lurking about where the AI intends to colonize! I can use that to my advantage and send colony ship post haste!!
