I'm not sure why my video quality isn't better. It appears shiny and blocky. I've seen videos on Youtube which have very good video quality. They are of good color with a matte appearance. I have applied the no interlace patch, set the resolution to 0x0 and changed the sound to sb16. (Greatly improved sound). Does anyone have any idea how to improve video quality?

It's an old game and there's a reason why they used to interlace the video clips: the video quality is really really bad. It looks worse without interlacing, all grainy and blocky. It also looks worse on an LCD screen than on an older CRT monitor.

Thanks for the response. I re-installed the game without the no-interlace patch and I think it looks better that way. Thanks again, Sharon
My apologies for retreading old ground here , but I'm just trying to find out if I have any video options.
Just in the first few minutes I ran as a test after downloading from GOG, the game itself runs OK, but the video quality is sucky - all blocky and faded. Would adjusting the resolution settings on my computer help, or am I just out of luck with the LCD monitor?
Would I do better to try and find my old 6-CD version of the game and apply the mass of patches I found on Sierra help sites? Thanks for any help.

Is there an "interlace" setting somewhere we should be setting? I am on an LCD screen, it looks horrible.
