Ok. I was just going through The Sierra Help Pages and I noticed that a new patch for GK1 - SotF was added. The patch claims to fix the Day 6 bug of the policemen returning to early and other bugs.
So, considering that this bug (and the other ones this patch fixes) make the game really hard to win (without messing around with DOSBox config), wouldn't it make sense that GOG includes it on the game? Maybe making a new version, just like they did with GK2.

P.D: I've already sent a support ticket to GOG regarding this issue, but they haven't answered yet.
I'll let you know they answer when they do.

Actually the game is totally beatable even with that bug. After that whole sequence the cop at the front desk starts nodding off and you can move into Moseley's office while he's falling asleep. So you really don't need any patch to slow the game down at all. It'd be nice, but not mandatory to have.

Yeah, I know, I've beaten the game in the past. But as this patch does not only fixes this but also fixes the Day 5 crash and the "floating Mummies" issue, I consider it an important patch to be added to the game.

That isn't good enough. If I pay money for a game I want the thing to work as it should. I am having the exact same problem as the author of this post and I would like to have that problem fixed. This isn't even the first time I have had to completely stop playing a game because I hit a bug that renders the game unbeatable and gotten so frustrated and just said fuck it. If there is a patch it needs to be added because I shouldn't have to download other software (one walk through on GameFAQs said to use CPUkiller, which isn't free and I'm not willing to spend more money on software to fix a problem that should have already been addressed a long time ago.)
