Thankfully, Legend of Grimrock 2 is working great and is, very very good!
Good and probably long enouth for GoG to release GK's patch before I finish it.
It is unacceptable that the patch is this far behind the Steam version. Unacceptable.
What does the patch even fix? I beat the GOG version a few days ago, other than some minor glitches like one conversation I had where people's mouths didn't move, and 2 instances of someone holding something and having it hover slightly above where it should be, I didn't notice anything wrong with it.

Nothing to make me call the game broken or stop anyone from completing it.

Patch is on the way! Looks like GOG will be posting it tomorrow morning :)
Patch will be released within 6 hours or not before next monday. At least I never saw Saturday updates on GOG
With many games, quick patches will fix one thing and break another. This game is no exception, judging by the posts in this game's forum on Steam. And on Steam, you aren't given the option not to install a patch.

The only major bugs I have encountered so far have all been tied with the "Continue" function, and it seems that this hasn't been fixed even in the latest patch. Other than that, I have noticed nothing critical or even serious that needs patching, so I am happy to wait for a stable patch, however long it takes. Of course, some people may be experiencing technical issues based on their system specs, and in that case I can certainly understand being impatient for the fix. But I would still prefer manual patching over Steam's automatic patching. Which patches automatically even if you deselect automatic updates.
The patch is online now.

And Gilmaris is right, this first patch does not fix some important issues (and maybe brings some new ones), but the second patch that's yet to come will probably solve the remaining serious problems.

But there are some nice things with this one (missing shadows added, etc.), so everyone should install it. ;)

You can't deactivate automatic patching on Steam anymore. That option was removed a few months ago. The least aggressive option is now to only patch a game if you try to use it.
how about Mac users? Is this patch only for Windows?

the version seems to be the same on Mac...
