Is it clear where items or usable objects are in the game? Or do you have to mouse sweep every screen?
Cheers.

as with almost all old adventure games, "mouse sweep" is part of the game. thankfully hotspot highlights have become almost the norm these days. but come on, you cant fault an old classic for an old game mechanic! thats why we're here at gog though right? its certainly not the MAIN focus and i wouldnt say there are any unfair parts (at least i dont remember ever being frustrated by playing the game). and there are always walkthroughs.

Ok, thanks for the reply.
Actually all items that can be picked up are "shaprer" then their surroundings, so they are very easily spotted. I think this is a new feature in GOG version, I dont remember it was like this in the original.
The best part about this game is all those interactive items it has - as is the case with most of the good old oldies.

It was in the old version, there was an optional hi-res mode. It's also not every item - but the ones you can pick up are still relatively obvious. I don't remember any specific pixel hunting, anyway.
What about searching for a snake scale? It was like one pixel big. I've read a few articles in magazines or through the web giving this an example for a really annoying pixel-hunting:)
*slight spoiler*
Only pixel hunt instance comes early on, when you really have to pick up something from an ashtray.

Good example. Because I'm stuck on it. For the life of me, I cannot find this bugger. So frustrating.
It's on the bottom right near the tree in the grass there :)
Ah ok. I found it. Thanks!
You're welcome - took me quite a while to find myself :)
The only pixel hunting I remember ever actively doing was in the later part of the game when you're in Africa. Stupid vines. . . .
