Woo hoo...I just read about FTL in PC Gamer, Googled it even though I assumed it would have DRM or something...and to my total shock, GOG has it, today!

The game sounds really fun/different/interesting from the write up. I'm buying it when I get home tonight!

LOVE all the new games GOG is getting!
Well, I have been playing it since I came home from work and it is awesome. You won't be disappointed. :)

And remember: Losing is fun!

I still don't know where the last three hours passed, while I was playing FTL "for five minutes" :)

Yep, exactly the same for me lol.
Wow, such masochists. "Loosing is fun"? Do you beat each other with rubber hoses too? ;)

What can I say, Kirk taught me to Play to win!

That's a reference to Dwarf Fortress and game such as Minecraft, where there is no final victory condition and therefore you always lose (or abandon) at the end.

In the case of FTL I known there is one, but reaching is not that easy with only one ship and no post-mortem resurrection assurance :)

To play this game without permadeath is to play a FPS with god-mode, or a puzzle game with all the puzzles already solved for you. Entirely unrewarding!

Thats an opinion, not a fact bud. No two players are created equal and everyone finds fun in different ways. Diversity and all that.
