Celton88: The latest update says there are 10 new ships! 1 new alien race (that has type A, B, and C ships) and 7 existing ships that have a type C

Green_Shade: Actually there is one completely new ship (The Lanius' ship) with two layouts and 8 of the original have new 'C' layouts. The new ships all focus on the new systems being added (Hacking, cloning, mind control, and the backup battery) as well as the new weapons and drones. (Go Anti-Combat Drone, destroy these satellites!)

I'm hoping to see an update notification for FTL in a few hours; I wish they'd just go ahead and unleash the upgrade - it's already live on iOS in some regions.

Well they said they'd send a link to existing customers (or something). I assume with GOG you'd have to wait till GOG gets it in.

In the meantime let's play the waiting game.

Or if you find the waiting game too boring and/or you want to torture yourself with watching someone play Advanced Edition until you can get your grubby hands on it, and maybe ask the devs questions later when they join back in, check out this feed (currently still going on): http://www.twitch.tv/lethalfrag

I'm so ready for this update been waiting sense the announcement last year. guess ill play the Don't Starve DLC while i wait for GOG to get there stuff together

Some people have reported that the ipad version has already been released. No word from steam or GOG yet.
