Extremely annoyed, I do NOT want GOG Galaxy on my system, so I go and download the classic installer of which the purpose is to NOT have gog galaxy... meanwhile after downloading and installing I go to run for the first time.... To my surprise I now have GOG Galaxy running, updating, and when done it proceeds to open, link all my games and update some games I didn't want updated... EXTREMELY PO'D RIGHT NOW!!!

the "galaxy" installers have the (g) in them... i did download from the classic page...

Well, then I'm sorry I can't help you much as I do not have the game myself (still on my wishlist) so can't test it.

Still, it's weird that there are no more such reports as yours.

I am pretty sure that most people probably do use gog galaxy... the game seems to be integrated with gog achievements which may explain why it installs galaxy... Regardless, classic isn't supposed to have it... :/

"Most" is still not "all" so it should have been at least a few similar reports to yours.
I would not install Galaxy either but, as I said earlier, I'm not able to do such test for now.

No, the offline installers don't contain Galaxy anymore.
