Hello. So, every time I try the (First?) Nebula mission in freespace 2, where your following Zeta 1 around and find a ship where it shouldn't be, My Monitor alway goes completly Yellow around the time the second wave of Shivans attack the Trinity. Music still plays in the background, as do sound effects, as if the game is still going. if I hit Esc, alt-tab out and go back in, I see the menu you're suppose to see like normal, but when I get back in, I have just a couple more seconds of play before the screen all goes yellow again. After doing this for a while, it will even stop comming up with the menu screen. Up untill the moment all this happens, the game, including the mission, runs perfectly fine.
Worst part is, if I try to close Freespace 2, More often than not it will mess with my computer so much that I have to manually shut off my computer. My computer uses Windows XP, an Athlon Dual Core 3.0 Ghz proccesser, and an NVidia 9800, if any of that will help.
Thanks.

tried updating graphics card driver from www.nvidia.com and setting affinity to one core ?
I had the exact same problem but it is easily solved.
Go and grab the Open Freespace installer:
http://www.fsoinstaller.com/ (links are at the top and very tiny)
Make sure you read the instructions on how to install it. I messed it up my first try. (You have to install it on top of your freespace install and use the launcher)
Make sure you use all the high-end graphical features and it completely fixes the nebula glitch, installs better textures, lets you use higher screen resolutions, and makes you wish all old games could get the same kind of "looks brand new" graphical upgrade.
Just the answer I needed DaveKap, thanks.
